Sandals

Apparently my beat up rainbows aren't exactly appropriate footwear for an adult, and since I'm kind of hoping that if I keep pretending to be one, eventually the whole grown up thing will just kind of happen, I've been eyeing alternatives lately.

I love the greek, but not crazy gladiator look of this and this, plus the silver feels a little more modern than white, while still being a calm neutral.  After years of getting a new pair of white saltwater sandals every year as a kid, white sandals just feel too juvenile to me. But silver? I can do that. Now if only I could decide between the two. Or come up with $100 for sandals.




I'm also loving the look of neutral wedges, like these. Way comfier than a heel, but still giving a little extra height. Plus, with the beige, I bet they could make even my stumpy legs look long(ish).


Any sandal styles you guys are loving this summer? I still don't see myself giving up the flip-flops any time soon (at least until I can find the miracle triad of comfy, cute and cheap) but it can still be fun to browse.

    I like the first silver sandals, and definitely the wedges! I'm coveting some beige heels since they do make legs look miles long - wouldn't that be nice!

    (My favorite sandals are always my Flojos, they are unbelievably comfortable, but unfortunately just flip-flops, so I'm going to have to break down eventually and get my grown-up shoes.)

    Ooh, I love a shoe post! I am a big fan of metallics as a summer neutral (and I'm aware I sound like an airhead when I type that).     I've walked all over creation in them (2 miles on Saturday) and they are like walking on air. They're sold out but I highly recommend sporty DKNY sandals because those rubber soles are awesome. I paid $50ish for them.

    I wanted a wedge heel for this summer and I bought a pair of Clarks from Zappos: http://www.zappos.com/clarks-laguna-jewel-grey-metallic I got them in this silver-y color. The wedge is really comfortable. They are not as comfy as the DKNY sandals but they're heels, not flats, so that's inevitable. Let us know what you pick!

    I love the second silver sandals and the wedges too. But, as much as I covet cute shoes like that, I always come back to my trusty flip flops.
